What we do
Kekasimo is a gift wishlist and registry site. We help you save gift ideas and may show affiliate product links and ads. When you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission. That does not change your price.
Data we collect
- Account info if you sign in (email, name you provide)
- Wishlists, gift items, and notes you save
- Device and usage data needed to run the site (including cookies and similar tech)
- Ad and affiliate partners may collect device or advertising identifiers under their own policies
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your wishlist with the public unless you choose to share it.
Who we share with
- Hosting and auth providers that run the site
- Ad networks (for example Google AdSense) when ads are shown
- Affiliate networks (Involve Asia and linked merchants) when you click buy links
- We may disclose data if required by law
Cash gift QR
- What we store: a new copy of the QR code, made from the payment code in your image, a fingerprint of that code so we can spot changes, and, when we can tell, whether it is a GCash or Maya QR and the amount, if your QR has one. We delete the image you uploaded once the QR is made, so we don't keep its photo details (such as location or camera data) or anything else in the picture. Like any payment QR, the code contains the wallet details your GCash or Maya app put in it.
- Who can see it: anyone who has your list link and taps "Show cash gift QR." They see only the QR code, not the image you uploaded. We keep it out of link previews and ask search engines not to index it.
Cover photos
- What we store: the cover photo you upload for your list. Your photo is saved as a new copy when you upload it, without its photo details (such as location or camera data).
- Who can see it: when your list is public, anyone can see its cover photo on your list page, on the homepage, and in link previews when your list link is shared. If your list is private, its cover photo is hidden but not deleted.
- Deletion: we delete it when you remove or replace it, or when you delete the list.
Cash gift receipts: when a guest sends a receipt, we store their name, their optional message and the receipt image. The image may show the amount, the account name or number, and the reference number. Only the list owner can see them. We delete them after 180 days, or sooner if the owner deletes the receipt, the list or their account.
Retention and deletion
Your account and list data stay until you delete them.
You can delete your account at any time:
- On the website: sign in and choose Delete account
- Signed out: https://kekasimo.com/delete-account (we email a sign-in link to the address on your account)
- By email: hello@kekasimo.com, from the email on your account
Deleting your account permanently deletes your sign-in account, all your lists and gifts, the links you pasted, guest names and reservations on your lists, your "Thanked" marks, your cash gift QR and any saved previous QR, and any cover photos you uploaded. Your shared links stop working. This cannot be undone.
Deletion happens right away when you confirm. We may keep a few records for a limited time where needed for security or legal reasons. Abuse reports and QR security records are kept for 180 days after they're created, or longer while a report is still being handled or if we're required to keep them by law or for a legal claim. We keep the web address of a deleted list so no one else can reuse it. Any "This wasn't me" link we emailed you stops working when you delete your account, and its record is removed automatically about 8 days after we sent it. Deleted data leaves our daily backups within 14 days. Point-in-time recovery copies are kept for up to 7 days. Names you typed as a guest on someone else's list are part of their list. Ask that host or email us to remove them.
Children
Not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date will change when we do.
